More Valdemar medieval Valdemar have released two more medieval sets. VA111 Medieval Hunting Party and VA133 Medieval Smithy are both clearly civilian but quite large and full of interest. |

Zvezda's first Great War set is released Zvezda have confirmed the release of their first set of figures for the Great War. The set is German Infantry, and while the title refers to '1914 to 1918', the troops all wear the Pickelhaube rather than the Stahlhelm, which makes them largely suitable for 1914 to 1916. As usual pictures will be posted soon. |

New Great War figures promised from Strelets Strelets have added a number of new figure sets to their future plans, and at a time when Airfix release their new World War I playset it's more good news for those interested in that conflict. The new Strelets cover all the major participants, with each getting an infantry set wearing gas masks. In addition there is also a set of German Stormtroopers planned, while their range for the Russo-Turkish War of 1877 gets a mountain artillery set in winter uniform. Most of these have no release date yet, but the next batch of releases is now due in October. |

New Orion sets arrive As expected Orion have released their latest batch of figure sets. The latest products to hit the shelves are:

- 72034 - Gumans (Polovets) and Pechenegs
- 72035 - Iberian Infantry
- 72036 - Soviet Tankmen and Crew, 1943 - 1945

New HaT sets in the pipeline HaT have confirmed a number of new 1/72 scale figure sets are currently being developed. For fans of ancient history their Sassanid range will now include a set of Light Infantry, while the World War I range will be gaining a set of Belgian bicyclists. A set of Japanese cyclists for World War II is also in development, but there are no details of when any of these will be released at the moment. |

New maker releases debut figures The Plastic Soldier Company, a new manufacturer to the hobby, has announced that it is ready to begin shipping its first figure set, 'Russian Infantry in Summer Uniform'. This is the first of what promises to be a range of World War II sets, and has been some time in coming, but limited numbers of the set are now ready. We expect to have our usual pre-review pictures by the end of the week. |

Zvezda sneak out a long awaited set A number of dealers have started selling a new Zvezda set, 8037 French Cuirassiers for 1807-15. Strangely Zvezda themselves have not yet announced a release for this product, yet it seems to have reached the market nonetheless. This is a particularly long-awaited set which looks very promising and we will post pictures as soon as we can. |

More medieval life recreated Valdemar have released two more figure sets reflecting medieval life. This time the subjects are on a religious theme, and are entitled 'Medieval Repentance' and 'Medieval Organ and Crew'. Both will have a limited run in hard plastic and then be made in metal. |

All for one and one for all LW have released their first new figure set in a while, and it depicts French Musketeers from the 17th century. The box contains 14 figures on each of three sprues, one of whom is mounted, and the set is already starting to appear at retailers. |

New arrivals There are two pieces of news on new sets today. First, Ykreol have released their set of French Foreign Legion at Bir Hakeim 1942. Containing 48 figures in 16 poses, we hope to have pictures shortly. Second, Mars have kindly let us know about four new releases for their Thirty Years War range. They are:
- 72036 - Swedish Heavy Cavalry
- 72037 - Imperial Mounted Arquebusiers
- 72038 - Imperial Siege Artillery
- French Infantry and Guard
Mars say that these sets will start to be released next month. |
